Job Description:

The Early Childhood Preschool Daycare Director is the official point of contact and leadership for his/her center-based location and maintains responsibility for oversight of all operational components. The Early Childhood Center Director provides and coordinates the necessary support, resources, supervision, and leadership to ensure the provision of quality nurturing care and education to young children in a classroom setting. The Early Childhood Daycare Preschool Director is tasked with ensuring that all classrooms are appropriately staffed, with effective adherence to all applicable child safety rules.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Administrative Leadership and Supervision: Facilitate a professional learning community that embraces ongoing professional development, thoughtful communication, and meaningful collaboration amongst staff
• Building Maintenance: Ensure effective health and safety measures across all center-based operations
• Education and Disabilities: Supervise all efforts to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction that is inclusive of all child and family needs
• Health and Safety: Spearhead staff accountability for promoting and ensuring child health and safety across all aspects of center-based programming
• Enrollment: Oversee all elements of student enrollment and daily recruitment efforts

Essential Preschool Director Qualifications and Skills:

• NYS Teacher Certification (Birth through 2 or Equivalent);
• Leadership skills, including the ability to delegate responsibilities as needed across the school
• Positive work ethic and morale, with transparency and straightforwardness in all interactions
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build professional and collaborative relationships with colleagues and members of the community at large
• Self-motivated, with strong sense of personal accountability

Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
