Beacon Resources, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst (sales) on a direct hire basis to join a retailer in south OC

Job – This Senior Financial Analyst will be providing data and models to formulate the company’s budgets and forecasts. You will report to a Director.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly journal entries for accruals and activities for Manufacturing
• Analyze direct and indirect labor variances monthly
• Analyze overhead spending variances monthly
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and approve purchase orders for overhead expenses
• Assist in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting for Manufacturing
• Maintain SOX controls and ensure proper documentation
• Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules and documentation
• Review and approval of overhead purchase orders
• Analyze financial data, including the use of KPI’s (revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures) to prepare accurate reports on a periodic basis
• Develop financial forecasting models in Excel, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Explain any variances in forecasted versus actual budget figures
• Prepare reports and analysis for upper management
• Recognize any areas of the FP&A process that needs improvement, and suggest improvements accordingly

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• 3+ years experience
• Must be detail oriented

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• SAP experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good working knowledge of internal controls/SOX

Education:

• BS/BA in Finance / Accounting
• MBA, MAC, CMA and/or CPA (preferred

• Public accounting experience
• MBA or CPA
