Beacon Resources seeks a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join a healthcare company with one of the brightest teams in El Segundo, California. Our client will consider a strong Senior Accountant with some supervisory experience for this role!

Job (General Description) – This Accounting Manager will be involved in full-cycle corporate accounting functions, including financial statement prep and reporting, consolidations, audit, overseeing financial closes, journal entries, and account reconciliations. The Accounting Manager will also review fixed assets, intangibles, prepaids, and R&D accruals. You will report to a Controller

Compensation/Benefits – Starting salary range of this role begins at $100,000/year and increases DOE. Our client supplements base compensation with the usual benefits (medical, dental, vision insurance plans, 401(k), and bonus) applies here, along with unlimited PTO days.

DUTIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

General Ledger (G/L) Accounting

• Review journal entries in preparation for month-end close relating to clinical trials, fixed assets, leases, and other areas
• Prepare account reconciliations on a periodic basis
• Develop and assist your accounting leadership team with handling core corporate accounting functions, including posting all relevant entries and inventory transactions
• Oversee your staff during the month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, and performing complex monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Handle all inventory, purchasing issues, production, sales, expenses, and liabilities
• Identify and prepare consolidation/elimination entries
• Ensure all accounting processes are in accordance with GAAP standards

Financial Reporting

• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP standards
• Work closely with FP&A professionals to provide necessary expenses information
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Miscellaneous

• Assist in implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX/365.
• Support all internal and external audits
• Review all contracts
• Assist in all compliance issues, including all internal control issues
• Accept any delegated ad hoc projects

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an accounting focus
• General Ledger (G/L) accounting experience
• Consolidations experience

Preferred

• Mix of public accounting and corporate industry accounting experience
• CPA
• A mix of public and corporate accounting

• Expert-Level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, IF Formulas)
• Large ERP experience
