Our client, a publishing company, is seeking a Development Officer to lead operational foundation fundraising in their NYC office.

The hours are 9 : 30am-5 : 30pm and this role is hybrid with three days in the office and two days remote. This is a remarkable opportunity for a development professional to join a company that advocates for social change and amplifies progressive voices in publishing!

Responsibilities :

• Strategize with management to achieve long-term financial sustainability through major foundation grants
• Develop and maintain high-level foundation contacts
• Manage, oversee, and execute fundraising plan
• Co-supervise a development assistant and other staff / contractors
• Write and coordinate foundation proposals, on all foundation grants, and coordinate meetings
• Work closely with accounting manager on financial ing and with Chief Development Officer to manage budget projections

Qualifications :

• 5-8+ years of experience
• Demonstrated experience managing a budget
• Raiser’s Edge experience a plus

Compensation / Benefits :

• Up to $95K base depending on experience
