Beacon Academy is currently seeking a hard-working and passionate educator to join our team as a EL Teacher.

The EL Teacher will be developed, supported, and guided by the Principal. The EL Teacher’s major responsibilities are:
Implement curriculum and activities to meet the academic standards and the needs of the EL students at Beacon Academy. Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade- level activities, and school wide functions. Support the Beacon DAC with EL state testing. Be accountable for student’s achievement of academic standards; communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Effectively implement Responsive Classroom techniques. Candidates for this position should have strong leadership, organizational, communication and decision-making skills; and the ability to identify learning challenges, analyze, process, and make judgements with the sensitivity that is necessary to lead and coordinate programs for students.
