POSITION OVERVIEW

BCW Traffic Management Ltd. is a leading traffic control company in BC looking for experienced highway Lane Closure Technicians (LCT) in Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Kelowna, and Penticton area, who will work closely with management team in the pursuit of successful execution of projects and growth opportunities. This position s to the Operations Manager of BCW Traffic Management Ltd.

Responsibilities:

· Provide buffering services to client’s workers on the highway by operating BCW Scorpion.

• Verify and meet safety expectations.
• Correct improper and unsafe work activities and conditions.
• Identify any new workplace hazards and taking steps to ensure everyone stays safe.
• Ensure trucks maintained according to manufacturers specification, mileage tracked to reduce fuel spend.
• Ensure equipment is tracked on a bi-weekly basis.
• Provide training to teammates
• Liaise with clients and ensure a healthy open working relationship is developed and maintained.
• Work with management to ensure safety, operational and financial targets are exceeded.
• Uphold and improve company safety program and performance

Qualifications

· Arrive on time for work

· Participate in the daily toolbox meeting.

· Be always professional

· Represent BCW traffic management and perform your job to best of your ability.

· TCP certificate

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on highway as LCT.

· Familiarity with construction and traffic management drawings

• Strong written and spoken English
• Must have ability to multi-task and use sound judgment to prioritize activities
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be a self-starter and able to excel with limited supervision
• Out of the box thinker who is creative in problem solving to meet client needs
• Class 3 drivers license with air indorsement.

Salary: $29.00-$30.00 per hour
