Head of Talent, EMESA – London, United Kingdom OR Berlin, Germany

We seek a transformational Talent Leader to partner and support the People and Talent Director, EMESA in this new role, driving the Talent agenda in the recently formed, Europe, Middle East, South America and Africa region, currently working across our London, Paris and Berlin offices with more to follow. You will work with us to lead and support in the development of a best in class, end to end talent acquisition, talent management and talent development function and work alongside the Head of People, EMESA. Key people and talent topics include engagement, culture, performance, diversity, equity & inclusion, retention, remuneration, talent acquisition, talent management and talent development. You will work closely with the People and Talent Director on defining and executing DV’s talent strategy in close partnership with the other People & Talent functions as well as to provide day-to-day operational leadership to our EMESA Talent Acquisition – Recruitment, Talent Management – Staffing, and Talent Development – L & D functions.

This role includes providing support and advice to London, Berlin and our satellite office in Paris with more to come.

Reporting to the People and Talent Director, EMESA you will have responsibility for an experienced and exceptional team in Talent Acquisition – Recruitment, Talent Management – Staffing, and Talent Development – L & D.

As Head of Talent your responsibilities will include…

• Provide day-to-day management and leadership to the EMESA Talent Team
• To provide advice and thought Leadership to our London, Berlin and Paris operations
• Partner with the People and Talent Director on the Talent Plan and Strategy for DV London, Berlin and Paris and future markets as we scale, forming part of the overall People and Talent Plan and Strategy, in collaboration with our other regions and Global People and Talent teams
• Be a strategic advisor to our London, Berlin and Paris leadership teams on Talent related matters, balancing commercial and people needs
• Coach team members to be effective thought partners for functional leadership
• Drive and oversee Career Development for all employees
• Oversee and lead Talent Management – Staffing to ensure the development needs of our people are met and commercial performance is ensured
• Oversee and lead Talent Acquisition – Recruitment to attract the best talent for every role, every time
• Oversee and lead a strategic Talent Development – L & D offering ensuring commercial impact and return on investment
• Advising on all Talent matters in a leadership capacity. Understanding the business, challenges and goals and identifying ways to best support them

As Head of Talent:

• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred; Psychology or People/HR specialisation is a plus, with a bias towards Talent. Ideally 10-15 years People/Talent experience with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity
• Experience across Europe including UK, Germany, France and Spain. Experience of building and scaling new markets, ideally including Middle East, South America and Africa
• Extensive prior management experience (dotted or hard line) of cross regional teams in a scaling, progressive Talent function with a passion and bias towards talent acquisition and management or talent development, preferably in a fast growing digital / tech company or professional services company with a Global presence, and US head quarters
• Experience working in a dynamic/multi-stakeholder environment – can give examples of personally driving impact without being the most senior authority
• Exceptional strategic and creative problem-solving skills
• Up to date awareness of current Talent acquisition, management and development practices, standards and innovations in the tech and professional services industries
• Proven track record in successful culture and employee engagement initiatives
• PLEASE NOTE: This role can be based in London or Berlin, but will require regular travel (when safe) to the other location given the People team are spread across London and Berlin. We operate a hybrid working policy
