We are currently looking to add an Active Transportation Engineer to our team. As an Active Transportation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Plan, analyze and prepare shared-use path, trail, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities using AASHTO, DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria, with guidance provided on assigned tasks as required
• Develop 3D Models of shared-use paths, trails, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, using Corridor Modeling in InRoads, Open Roads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Approach tasks with a project mindset, to include coordination with other disciplines throughout the duration of the project; propose innovative solutions to design problems with an understanding of project scope and goals
• Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians, designers, and engineers, ensuring adherence to project schedules; QC final work product
• Prepare engineering s and contract documents for review; perform independent peer reviews on team work products
• Review contract plans and calculations from other engineering teams and outside entities to verify completion and compliance with governing drainage design codes and contract plans and specifications
• Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record
• Effectively present proposed team design solutions as part of internal project meetings; attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
• Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates, providing technical proposal support, and participating in marketing campaigns
• Ensure timely completion of time sheets, expense s, and labor hours management
• Take ownership of personal and team member career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop and teach new skills, and setting and pursuing goals
• Contribute to the development of team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors

Requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Years of Experience: 4+ years
