Main Responsibilities

The role in summary:

Our people drive everything we do within the BBCStudios – from creating and reimagining new content and producing programmes (and all that entails) to the myriad of support functions that enable us to be the most awarded creative powerhouse on the planet.

To achieve this you will be involved in the following:

• Help grow and run a truly world-class talent management process, from developing how we identify potential at all levels to devising ways to capture talent data for everyone in our business in a way that enables the rapid and accurate informing of decisions.
• Your charm and charisma will be evident as you brief business partners and senior leaders on the approach – with the suave confidence and assuredness normally reserved for our landmark presenters.
• You’ll work across functions to better understand and aid the implementation of succession plans and to create the seamless transfer of data gathered throughout the Talent Acquisition process.
• Once built, you’ll manage a world-class talent database and provide access to skills distribution, talent blind-spots, diversity data and provide visibility into where we may have gaps in succession planning. Your insight will genuinely help shape and grow our organisation in the most effective and informed way.
• As a forensic genius with the ability to apply creativity and imaginative thinking to how we interpret data and what data we capture, and the impact that will have on the BBC Studios strategy and it’s people
• You will support the innovative development of our talent, through personalised individual and cohort based interventions

• First and foremost – you’ll have to genuinely love data and people. You’re never happier than when you have your nose in a spreadsheet, survey or in 121 conversations with our people and partners
• You’ll be a confident relationship builder, understanding the needs of both our people and the business. You’ll be adept at interpreting data and spotting trends and themes that tell a compelling story
• You’ll be confident gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, modelling and interpreting big data and be able to use it to tell a compelling story to guide the future strategic decisions related to our people
• You’ll have operated in an agile, fast-paced environment undergoing significant change. Things have never stood still at BBC Studios, but our ambitious future plans make for a highly dynamic and transformational place to work. Its fast, frenetic and great fun.
• You’ll be an assured presenter of clear, concise and insightful information – and if you can reimagine HOW we can make it look beautiful at the same time – we’ll probably fall in love with you.
