We are on a journey of transformation, as a result of which we are looking for two Talent Acquisition Consultants to carry out a dual role recruiting across a wide range of functions and managing a team. One role Permanent and the other is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. You will lead a team of recruiters who you will support in the delivery of world class and diverse candidates with the right capability in the right jobs, at the right time whilst leading by example to deliver a seamless candidate and hiring manager experience.
Main Responsibilities
Working as a trusted partner, reporting directly to the Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner Recruitment and Sourcing , you will be responsible for delivering advice and guidance to hiring managers on recruitment strategies including inclusive recruitment policy and practice. You’ll be recruiting from inception to conclusion across a wide range of functions for a variety of predominantly mid-level roles across Public Service in an effective and efficient manner. You’ll manage and lead a team of recruiters on all day to day recruitment activities ensuring systems and processes are kept up to date and adhered to, enabling a high-performance team culture by fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, engagement and collaboration both within the recruitment team and more broadly across the BBC. Working with Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partners you’ll set quality standards, service level agreements and KPI’s ensuring delivery against the same. You’ll set and monitor the performance of your team against these KPI’s and outcomes relating to hiring manager satisfaction ensuring that the team is delivering a high quality service to hiring managers and candidates. You will use data to drive your agenda and focus your initiatives.
You’ll work closely and collaboratively with others within the TA function, including Sourcing, Assessment and Selection, Executive Search and Mapping, Employer Brand and Operations, to develop and deploy new and emerging high impact inclusive recruitment assessment tools and initiatives as well as participating in candidate evaluation and selection processes. When required you will be responsible for providing advice and recommendations on all aspects of sourcing i.e. Insights on market hiring dynamics, sourcing options and candidate management in order to attract the best inclusive and diverse talent.
Overall you’ll be a visible member of the Talent Acquisition Team, actively contributing to the wider Talent Acquisition and People and Organisational Development strategy and goals.
Are you the right candidate?
To succeed in this role you’ll have relevant in-house or agency recruitment experience across a wide variety of skill sets and complexity of roles as well as proven effective team leadership (of at least eight team members) and management skills demonstrating an ability to energise and inspire others. With full cycle recruitment experience you’ll have the natural instinct to take a pro-active approach to passive candidate attraction where required fulfilling organisational external talent demand via pipeline-driven direct sourcing, including scarce skill areas. You’ll be able to demonstrate strong organisational and prioritisation skills, often in situations involving conflicting priorities. You’ll have the experience and know-how in building authentic and credible relationships within your immediate team as well as with hiring managers / stakeholders, candidates and other members of the Talent Acquisition function. You’ll have demonstrable experience of delivering a quality and consistent performance across TA metrics including experience, diversity and quality and be organised with the ability to work independently using your own initiative as well as collaboratively.
