The BBC News Group incorporates Digital, Current Affairs, News Output, Editorial and Analysis, Newsgathering, and Production Operations teams – and the World Service Group. This includes Current Affairs – home of investigative journalism and analysis programmes across TV, radio and online and includes Panorama and Newsnight. News currently employs approximately 7,200 staff around the UK and the world, with a footprint in over 60 countries.

We have an opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Senior Business Partner to join us and help shape our future.
Main Responsibilities
The Broad Remit
The role will be responsible for influencing and shaping Talent Acquisition across BBC News and will be a crucial voice and subject matter expert on a variety of complex hiring topics. The role will own the relationship with senior leaders and is accountable for the approach to and delivery of Talent Acquisition for their client group. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition and sitting on the TA leadership team, you will work with likeminded leaders and the wider TA/HR team to ensure BBC-wide opportunities are realized and value is created.
You will influence the transformation and future direction of talent acquisition at the BBC and play a critical role in ensuring the BBC has even greater impact across the UK. We are on a journey of organisational and TA transformation that will unlock and increase the potential of all our existing and future employees to deliver value for all audiences We need world-class TA talent to join and help us deliver this aspiration.

Are you the right candidate?
You are a true talent acquisition leader with extensive experience of successfully shaping and delivering an end-to-end talent acquisition strategy with positive business results in large complex organisation(s), with multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships). You will also ideally be someone who has worked in unionised environments.

You are always ready and able to take the initiative, originate action and be responsible for the consequences of the decisions made.
You build strong, trusted and inclusive relationships across talent acquisition, HR and the business at senior levels, managing multiple sometimes conflicting priorities and able to approach barriers from a problem-solving standpoint with the goal of creating “win-win” outcomes. You’ll be able to demonstrate an understanding of others, be able to energise and inspire even without direct authority and you’ll also have a one-BBC mindset, able to evolve and influence BBC-wide talent acquisition opportunities to deliver sustainable change beyond your immediate business area.
Finally, an understanding of journalism would be desirable, but not essential!
