The BBC Resourcing and Talent team is embedded in the length and breadth of the BBC, providing the best people for our world class trusted and creative output. Based in Cardiff, Salford or Birmingham, with flexible hybrid working this role is to provide the best and most diverse talent to BBC Wales and BBC England.
Main Responsibilities
As a Resourcing Advisor, you will be responsible for the recruitment of roles across BBC Wales and BBC England in teams which could vary from business support roles, such as finance, projects and technology, through to broadcast specific professions, radio, journalism roles and orchestral positions amongst many others. You will also build relationships with the departments you work with, and take the time to understand their needs, challenges and successes.
You will make an impact by bringing your previous administration or co-ordination experience to the teams you work with, and taking the knowledge you have gained on those teams to create positive, transparent recruitment campaigns. We will also help you learn a range of assessment methods, to ensure the best and most diverse voices join BBC Wales, therefore it is essential you are able to bring your enthusiasm and creativity to this role.
Are you the right candidate?
As the right candidate, you will have experience of in house recruitment or administration/co-ordination in a confidential environment. You will have worked with customers or stakeholders and will have experience of providing them with good customer service and be able to manage expectations in a busy environment. You will also have good IT skills, including Microsoft packages, and some experience of other systems and databases.
To support this, you will be collaborative and enthusiastic about recruitment and the positive difference it can make to the experience of candidates, and the success of BBC Wales. Whilst training and support will be given to develop your recruitment assessment skills, you should have the creativity to think differently about recruitment beyond traditional interviewing.
Above all, a consideration of diversity and inclusion will be at the core of all of your professional practices, and you will maintain and enhance the BBC’s commitment to diversity in all that you do.
