This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading news and media organisations. The role will be within BBC News Design, the Junior Software Engineer will be a key member of a vibrant graphic design development team on English and non-English language Broadcast & video platforms innovating new, bespoke solutions while maintaining and improving existing systems.
The Broadcast Software Engineers make News graphics that function in real time, from standard on-screen graphics, to data visualisation, Touchscreens, studio screens, election results, data fed AR & VR 3D graphics and everything else that BBC News Design requires on it’s output.

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer with a broad knowledge of JS, HTML and CSS. Knowledge of, or an interest in graphic design, animation & news is desirable. You will work closely with other Software engineers, graphic designers and Creative Directors.
