This is a key HR Specialist role supporting the BBC Corporate Functions team. We aim to create a productive, engaging and performance driven culture for our people. The HR Specialist will work alongside the HR Business Partnering team to provide support with employee relations case management, supporting restructures, HR reporting, pay decisions and assurance and other areas of generalist HR work.
Main Responsibilities
Resource and talent planning – Demand for highly skilled and creative technology experts is high. This role will work closely with the HR Business Partners and Resourcing teams to support efficient and fair recruitment processes across the function
Pay and reward – Pay and reward equality is at the heart of the BBC. The HR Specialist will support pay decisions, pay cycles and pay assurance for the Corporate Functions
Restructuring – Supporting the HRBPs with local restructuring programmes including the issue of documentation and consultations.
Diversity and Inclusion – Working with the central and local teams to drive D&I initiatives, ensuring that we can attract the best talent from under-represented groups to work with us at the BBC.
Employee engagement – Working with HRBP and Directors to monitor survey results and help define the appropriate interventions to improve engagement.
Learning and development – Ensuring communication of central learning initiatives and some delivery of development interventions on a local scale.
Employee Relations – Work with the HRBPs and Senior HRBPs to manage complex ER cases ranging from flexible working to performance and conduct.Reporting – Ensure the cascade of monthly HR metrics and supporting with the bespoke reporting for projects
Are you the right candidate?
Generalist HR experience across the full range of people activity
Engaging and confident with the ability to deal with Director level stakeholders
Knowledge of current thinking in HR issues and trends and evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
Communicates and adapts to work effectively with a variety of situations and stakeholders.. Is able to understand and appreciate different perspectives on an issue, present well-reasoned arguments and drive positive behavioural change.
Be a good ambassador for BBC values and behaviours.
Desirable
MCIPD, or equivalent educational achievement (Level 5) plus experience.
