BBC Hiring for HR Business Partner – International News Compliance and Projects at London Full Time

We are inviting expression of interest for a 12-month placement as a specialist HR Business Partner (HRBP) role acting as a trusted partner to the business. You will be leading International Projects bringing evidence-based practice into the organisation and supporting organisational effectiveness by leading business enhancing projects in support of the wider HR strategy This role will be a great opportunity for someone looking to step up and/ or broaden their experience in HR.

Main Responsibilities

Looking after over 2000+ staff internationally in 70+ countries the International HR Business Partners are responsible for the communication of the International HR Agenda across 50+ languages, 40+ currencies and all time zones. The team is based in London, Wogan House W1 but works in an agile manner and so if you are considering working with us- wherever you are- we can make it work. The applicant will work remotely with the International Business Partnering & Reward Teams, International Operations, its clients and international Communications to lead current Compliance, Diversity and Inclusion and other projects.

Main Responsibilities

Manage projects, leading and promoting, as appropriate (divisional and/or pan-BBC), the BBC’s reputation as a global organisation and employer of choice.

Keep up to date with external trends and HR best practice internationally.

Continuously motivate improvements in tools and policies through external market trends, insight and internal best practice.

Proactively share best practice, intelligence and potential pan-BBC activities within HR function.

Build relationships and form alliances with external counterparts, communities of practice and stakeholders to scan for innovations and opportunities to form partnerships.

Understand and anticipate the need for change, diagnose the underlying issues and make the case for change with stakeholders. Build frameworks to plan and manage the continuous process of change including dependencies, risk, potential scenarios ad options to mitigate.

Some experience of outsourcing in international setting an advantage

The successful candidate must be a seasoned HR professional who has keen interest in employment legislation, compliance, a strategic mindset combined with a projects background. A keen eye for details and the ability to simplify what can appear as complex at first is a distinct advantage. To succeed in this role you will need:–

HR Business Partnering or consultancy skills

Experience of applying best practice HR within a complex business environment

To have keen interest in compliance and risk management

Experience of leading a range of business enhancing project to support wider HR strategy

To be Strategic thinker with strong track record for building strong professional relationships and credibility across all levels of the organisation

Strong influencing and communication skills
