So joining as an Early Careers Scheme Specialist you will help pave the path for the BBC to deliver its commitment to double our apprenticeship hires and meet hiring goals to build a sustained and diverse talent pool with a strong focus on supporting social mobility opportunities and career education.

In this role you will support all stages of the Early Careers hiring cycle with a focus on Apprenticeship hiring. You will support the attraction and engagement campaign that connects with Apprentice candidates from a variety of backgrounds. You will work closely with other team members and flex support for specific Apprentice hiring goals across BBC divisions, working in close partnership with our Learning and Development teams to drive a smooth hiring process and exceptional candidate experience.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with team members to ensure a connected approach across our hiring campaigns flexing support across all team members at various times
• Builds relationships with stakeholders including hiring managers, the wider Talent Acquisition team, and Early Careers Academy team
• Support the running of high impact inclusive recruitment campaigns, with responsibility for meeting your own smaller subset of hiring targets
• Contribute to design and build of best practice approaches for attraction, selection and assessment methodologies to create inclusive hiring approaches
• Contribute and build Early Careers outreach and engagement strategy to grow the BBC brand and reputation. Support both in-person and virtual events during hiring season.
• Create and build team operating tools and processes, documentation to support team with administrative housekeeping and operational improvements.
• Interact with and support hiring managers on hiring activity, provide regular and timely updates. Be responsive and supportive in responding to queries.
• Support with planning and facilitation of candidate Interview and Assessment days
• Contact candidates when required via email, telephone or at in person events. Put candidate experience at the heart of all you do
• Maintain a smooth flow of communication and administration throughout the recruitment process including hand-offs for onboarding, work with the HR Shared Service Centre to ensure timely and accurate correspondence including all offers of employment.
• Work with Talent Acquisition counterparts to position the BBC as an employer of choice in the external market, enabling the BBC to attract the future skills and capabilities to deliver the BBC’s Strategic Priorities
• Contribute to a culture of service excellence and role-modelling of BBC Values and Behaviours by supporting continuous improvement, bringing insights into the organisation to identify opportunities, risks and priorities.

Are you the right candidate?

You are someone with in-house Early Careers recruitment experience or have managed large volume recruitment processes within agency or recruitment team. You have experience of successfully supporting or delivering high impact inclusive recruitment strategies and outreach campaigns. You have a passion for Early Careers and you strongly advocate for diversity and inclusion.

You are comfortable working across a remote team and have experience of working in or with a large and complex organisational structure with a mix of stakeholder groups and managing multiple priorities.

You are comfortable questioning and challenging the status quo and bring passion, creativity and new ideas. You seek change and the desire to make a difference for young people.

You have a strong focus on delivering a great level of service, both internally and to candidates. You build strong relationship with stakeholders and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
