We seek candidates with research and teaching strengths in dramatic literature, dramatic theory, and/or dramaturgy to teach in our undergraduate (BA Theatre; BFA Performance, Design/Tech) and graduate (MA Theatre, MFA Directing) programs and to contribute to our close-knit artistic and academic community.

A research specialization that broadens our faculty expertise is especially desirable, for example in applied theatre, Latinx drama, theatre of the Black diaspora, or pre-modern dramatic literature.

Experience directing and teaching directing would be a plus.

The preferred candidate will be able to generate a robust research agenda in traditional and/or creative scholarship and must be willing to seek external funding.

Qualifications

A PhD in Theatre Studies or a related field is preferred; an MFA in Directing or Dramaturgy will be considered. University teaching experience preferred.
