Summary

The Cardiology department is seeking a reliable Patient Support Services Coordinator that is proficient in delivering patient care in a high-paced ambulatory care setting. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of clinical billing, patient care scheduling, and insurance, while providing clerical and administrative support. The Coordinator will assist in the overall day to day clinical operations of the Cardiology clinical practice.

Job Duties

• Schedules diagnostic tests/procedures at St. Lukes by coordinating with different departments in BSLMC inpatient Epic.
• Informs patients about their arrival time, instructions.
• Orders supplies, keeping inventory, reconciling inventory par levels.
• Uploads s and billing all EP device s from website to EPIC.
• Reconciles patient volume with charges billed to ensure charge capture.
• Registers and schedules new patients when patient profiles do not exist in BCM Epic- monitor the pending insurance verification accounts the day before patient appointment and collaborate with IV team to ensure patient is financially cleared
• Works on the prepayment/AR list and contact patients a week in-advance, to inform/collect the balance before appointment.
• Coordinates meetings, events, retreats and other functions.
• Re-schedules patient clinical visits in the BCM ambulatory epic department,
• Submits/follows up tickets with facility (CHI/Baylor) for any repair.
• Provides administrative support for physicians.
• Manages and coordinates patient referrals.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of relevant experience.
