Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description:
Mechanical Design Engineer produces 3D CAD Models and detailed 2D Drawings to manufacture Bay Cast
Technologies products. The Design Engineer will provide technical support to Sales, Production and Field personnel.

The design Engineer works with the sales team to customize designs to meet customer specific requirements. The Design Engineer also works with the manufacturing team to document, through detailed drawings and process instructions, job specific requirements. The Designer is expected to be fluent in the use of SolidWorks with the ability to manage and exchange steps files.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer are as follows:

• Work with Sales Engineer and Customer to provide Designs, Models, and Drawings that meet customer specific requirements.
• Produce Models and Drawings for production team.
• Work with production to provide technical support during manufacturing.
• Work with Vendors to ensure understanding of technical requirements.
• Work with Facility Engineering as required to support internal engineering projects.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years with commercial CAD packages; Solid Works preferable
• Strong communications skills; both written and verbal.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawing and sketches.
• Good understanding of geometric dimension and tolerances

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
