Summery

The Chemistry Data Reviewer supports activities in the Chemistry department and performs daily review of data to ensure timely turnaround of documents to support on-time batch release and sustainable compliance.

Major Responsibilities / Activities

Review daily results and paperwork from Chemistry and Mixing labs. May include audit trail review. Support review of equipment and method qualification/transfer/validation data as needed.

Perform GDP reviews of lab notebooks.

Compile data required for monthly, quarterly and annual trending.

Provide back up coverage to Senior Chemistry to maintain equipment inventories and schedule internal preventive maintenance as needed. Ensure equipment calibrations are performed in a timely manner.

Education/Experience

Required:
Minimum College Diploma with Chemistry/Biochemistry or related field

Preferred:
University Degree, B.Sc preferred

Type of Experience

Required:
Experience in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in Word & Excel

Previous experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

Previous experience working in a Quality function

Experience with a regulated chemistry lab and understanding of industry best laboratory practices, techniques.

Preferred:
Chemistry testing lab experience in the pharmaceutical industry

Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory/corporate requirements

Years of Experience

Required:
2 – 3 years of experience in a QC Chemistry Lab data review, preferably in a quality function

Preferred:
5+ years of successful progressively responsible experience

Additional Skills / Special Training / Technical Skills Required

Required:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Time management / prioritization skills.

Must be available to work a schedule outside business hours and/or flexible shifts.

Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office and Laboratory information management system (LIMS)

Strong ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent time management skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.

Uncompromising dedication to quality.

Must comply with Good Laboratory Practices

Preferred:
Understanding of EMS through the application of LEAN tools in a laboratory environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills that have been demonstrated through presentations/seminars, oversight of projects, etc.

Strong technical writing skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
