Position: Building Operator

Department : Engineering

Shift: Continental 12 hour Rotation

Term Position: 12 Months

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all building equipment and systems including but not restricted to steam boilers, hot water boilers, chillers, cooling towers, potable/purified water systems, compressed air, vacuum, dust collection, environmental control chambers and air handling systems.

Responsibilities

Perform power house equipment repairs including calibrations and preventative maintenance

Maintain building environmental conditions at required levels within designated controlled areas using BMS (building monitoring system)

Complete all required safety and operating checks for heating and cooling systems

Complete associated water testing and safety device testing

Document all required logs and other documentation electronically

Provide emergency response services to fire protection/alarm system and boiler operation

Assist with Production/Packaging equipment repairs as required

Qualifications

Manitoba Power Engineer License, Class 4

Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in as a 4th Class Power Engineer within a manufacturing environment

Experience operating, troubleshooting, and calibrating electro-mechanical control systems for building equipment

Experience with Honeywell EBI software

Experience in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing
