Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) to create the B&K Leadership Academy which focuses on leveraging best practices
Lead the development and implementation of learning curricula to ensure our workforce has essential knowledge, skills, and experience; and establish programs to increase employees’ knowledge and skills across the organization
Create instructor-led and e-learning training and strategies
Provide instructional design consultation and project management for web-enhanced, hybrid, and fully-online courses
Establish learning management system (LMS) standards
Collaborate with key internal clients to understand our current work processes and leverage that to develop best-in-class practices and capabilities
Liaise with key internal clients and business partners to translate business performance needs into learning and development solutions that achieve business goals and objectives
Strategically leverage in-house and third-party capabilities and solutions
Act as an internal learning and development advisor (including training and onboarding initiatives) and appropriately challenge/influence stakeholders on alternative solutions
Establish metrics that measure the performance and success of training programs, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to improve training program effectiveness
Improve organizational effectiveness through the development and deployment of learning solutions to enhance leadership, improve productivity, and drive a learning culture
Integrate learning and development strategy with other HR-sponsored programs as a key element of an integrated talent model (e.g., talent acquisition, performance, talent review)
Ensure consistency in the quality of training programs, initiatives, and materials across the organization
Use LMS reports, class reports, and other resources to analyze and summarize learner results to provide corrective action plans for learning and development initiatives
Qualifications:
Education/experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or organizational development
Strong track record of five or more years of experience with hands-on design, development and/or delivery of successful training programs
Construction industry experience preferred
Have excellent skills in:
Design, development, and implementation of learning and development programs
Presenting and communicating verbally and in writing
Project management, including the ability to effectively and successfully manage competing priorities simultaneously
Puilding and maintaining strong relationships
Technical program and course design, preferably with manufacturing or construction-related content
Problem-solving process design and implementation
Must:
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; as well as Google apps and learning management systems
Understand adult learning theory and instructional design concepts
Maintain a “roll up sleeves” perspective and design/contribute learning programs as needed
Use appropriate communication style for various levels across the organization
Be an expert facilitator of learning across varying audience levels
Foster continuous improvement with emphasis on collecting and using data
