Bastion Hiring for People & Culture Coordinator at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

As People & Culture Coordinator you will be a key part of our P&C Team working closely with the GM, Head of Talent and P&C Manager. This is a generalist role, responsible for administering and coordinating a range of P&C & HR functions, providing a broad range of support across the employee life cycle.

This role is instrumental in supporting across a range of strategic and operational P&C functions to help deliver our vision of driving high staff engagement, high performance & great culture. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, both within Australia and globally.

A typical day might consist of onboarding new starters, helping with the creation of job descriptions, having initial screening calls with job applicants, and scheduling interviews. You may also find yourself coordinating our Growth & Development program, managing our Intern program and Mentor pairings as well as helping coordinate staff social events.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the team to assist and take responsibility for multiple talent and culture related functions. Fundamental to success in this role would be outstanding organisational and communication skills, as well as a positive outlook, great energy and the ability to build strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities

People and Culture & HR Admin

• Assist with all aspects of the onboarding & offboarding process
• Work with the wider P&C team to support the development and implementation of P&C / HR initiatives, policies and procedures
• Maintain our HRIS (Employment Hero) by ensuring employee records and organisational data are accurate, ensuring HRIS processes are aligned with company policy and legislation
• Provide relevant staff ing as required
• Provide HRIS training and updates to new starters
• Support the coordination and delivery of our G&D program
• Monitor training attendance records (and other audit requirements)
• Assist with venue logistics and management for training events
• Provide Admin support for Professional Development / Career Development Plans
• Assist with Payroll Administration, including administration relating to bonus / increases / promotions / exits
• Coordinate and facilitate Company engagement surveys and ad hoc surveys, including collecting data for review.
• Provide support and guidance for office-related queries including new starter office tours, and general employee queries
• Support in the creation of internal and external P&C communications and presentations
• Schedule meetings, coordinate P&C Functions and Events
• Work with the P&C team to develop and communicate employee benefits program

Talent Acquisition Process

• Assist and support the end-to-end candidate journey to ensure it is first class and inclusive acting as a point of contact for all candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Support the Head of Talent and hiring managers with all aspects of recruitment administration including:
• The development of job descriptions and online job adverts
• Post all job ads to various job boards and monitor responses
• Craft and send recruiting emails, giving feedback of successful or unsuccessful outcomes or new job opportunities
• Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews with Key Stakeholders
• Conduct initial applicant screening interviews and reference checks and make recommendations to hiring managers on the suitability of the candidates
• Assist with pre-employment check compliance process including references, background checks and work eligibility
• Maintain candidate databases and websites
• Support with the management of the Bastion Bridge intern program
• Assist with end of month ing on new starters, leavers and open roles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Human Resources / Recruitment experience preferred but not essential
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• You are familiar with HRIS (Employment Hero) and ATS systems, including LinkedIn Recruiter
