Basin Trucking and Rental Hiring for Logistics Coordinator – Dispatcher at Williston, ND Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Create and dispatch trucking routes that are efficient and meet customer scheduling needs.

• Work in compliance with all legal and safety requirements regarding the safe transport of equipment.
• Adjust to last minute changes in scheduling and communicate effectively with drivers and customers.
• Collaborate with management to modify routes to accommodate customer needs.
• Effectively communicate with customers concerning operational and logistical issues, changing processes and work updates.
• Answer incoming employee and customer calls.
• Monitor sudden route changes and road conditions to establish safe and timely routes for drivers.
• Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations to insure driver compliance.
• Act and communicate in a manner that will maintain a positive work atmosphere for customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
• Perform record keeping as needed.
• Maintain customer relations. Making additions, cancellations and changes regarding equipment location.
• Ensure accuracy of daily schedule information prior to dispatching driver.
• Other duties may also be assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong computer skills is a must.
• Previous Dispatching experience preferred.
• Must have a working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, as well as being able to use other web based software.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to handle high stress situations.
• High level of independent thinking and decision making required.
• Knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of GVW’s, state regulations regarding height and weight maximums.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
