Responsibilities:

Create and dispatch trucking routes that are efficient and meet customer scheduling needs.

Work in compliance with all legal and safety requirements regarding the safe transport of equipment.
Adjust to last minute changes in scheduling and communicate effectively with drivers and customers.
Collaborate with management to modify routes to accommodate customer needs.
Effectively communicate with customers concerning operational and logistical issues, changing processes and work updates.
Answer incoming employee and customer calls.
Monitor sudden route changes and road conditions to establish safe and timely routes for drivers.
Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations to insure driver compliance.
Act and communicate in a manner that will maintain a positive work atmosphere for customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Perform record keeping as needed.
Maintain customer relations. Making additions, cancellations and changes regarding equipment location.
Ensure accuracy of daily schedule information prior to dispatching driver.
Other duties may also be assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong computer skills is a must.
Previous Dispatching experience preferred.
Must have a working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, as well as being able to use other web based software.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Ability to handle high stress situations.
High level of independent thinking and decision making required.
Knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
Knowledge of GVW’s, state regulations regarding height and weight maximums.

Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
