Where the Chemistry Happens

Through strategic and operational leadership in the BASF Global Vegetable Seeds human resource team and business, the Talent Manager drives solutions to maximize performance, ensure governance and acts as a leader in shaping a healthy and engaging environment that enables people to perform at their full potential. As our global subject matter expert on talent management, this role will develop and implement strategy, programs, projects, and processes aligned with the Vegetable Seeds strategy to attract, develop, and inspire. This includes, leading the execution of culture and leadership change initiatives.

As a Global Talent Manager, Vegetable Seeds you create chemistry by…

• Your strong understanding of HR processes, guidelines, policies, and practices and learning agility will help you quickly adapt to understanding and driving the Global Vegetable Seeds talent strategies, initiatives, and key themes from inception through delivery. To include, but not limited to, 1) Vegetable Seeds Employer Brand and Value Proposition; 2) Strategic Workforce Planning; 3) Global Talent Acquisition Strategy; 4) Global/local onboarding; 5) Learning and Development; and 6) Talent Planning & Review.

• Accustomed to working collaboratively and effectively with key stakeholders, you will provide influence in areas of opportunities relative to the talent strategies, goals, objectives, and new initiatives.

• Your high comfort level with ambiguity and “white space” will ensure your strong contributions to specific local, country, regional and global initiatives for our talent programs.

• Capitalizing on your experience and success managing multiple projects simultaneously, you will work independently to balance and successfully execute on project objectives and tasks. You will also collaborate, when necessary, across the organization with other CoE subject matter experts and external consultants.

• Your consultative traits will impactfully enhance your stakeholder’s knowledge, skillset, and process awareness to secure the expected benefits are achieved and sustained after the core talent programs are completed. Your facilitation and training expertise will help you communicate, when necessary, methodologies to measure the impacts, benefits and areas of opportunities for projects post execution and in other relative areas.

• Leveraging your business curiosity and results driven nature, you will continuously identify opportunities to enhance the talent program portfolio, ensuring it remains relevant and aligned with the needs of our global and regional stakeholders working in collaboration with your team members and colleagues across the HR function.

• To drive solutions and demonstrate intellectual curiosity for integrating analytics to drive insights by: acting as a thought partner to provide analysis, insights and ad-hoc ing via excellent problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications – BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or related area; master’s degree or MBA preferred.

• Minimum of 8-10 years’ related experience in human resources, with specific focused expertise in global talent management.

• Demonstrated ability to steer and organize communities without formal ing lines and to work with impact, collaboration, and empathy in a matrix environment across teams, key stakeholders, business unit teams and other functional areas on a country/regional/global level.

• Demonstrated coaching, influencing, consulting skills and business literacy with employees, people leaders, and HR Business Partners.

• Demonstrated proficiency in delivery of effective presentations, workshops, and similar storytelling for varying audiences with impact.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple, conflicting priorities and tohandle and protect highly confidential and critical information.

• Demonstrated proficiency in change management and in Project and Program Management.
