At BASF we are entering an exciting time within our Agriculture business with an existing portfolio of world class products and a pipeline of new products that will bring significant benefits to the Agriculture industry.

In this important role as a Financial Performance Analyst for a 24-month contract, you’ll support the BASF Agriculture business in achieving its strategic objectives through robust and timely financial performance analysis, review and reporting. You’ll work closely with other functions, to prioritise business and information needs and be responsible for timely and accurate maintenance of ‘Customer Trade Agreements’ in BASF financial system.

You’ll:

• Liaise with BASF Shared Services and be responsible for on time and accurate processing of customer incentives
• Setup and maintain incentive accruals with a high degree of accuracy for the relevant trading period
• Proactively partner with Business Unit and Key Account Management teams in commercial incentive planning, scenario planning and periodic maintenance
• Conduct. end of month internal business reporting for local, regional and global stakeholders
• Carry out adhoc business performance reporting as required by management

Please note that this is a max-term position with a view to permanency.

Ingredients for Success

To be successful in this role, you’ll have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large data sets from multiple sources. You’ll be a natural communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.

You’ll:

• Hold a CA/CPA Membership (or be studying towards), or hold a degree in Accounting or similar
• Be highly diligent with excellent attention to detail
• Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and standards
• Expert level MS Excel Skills, with SAP experience a plus
• Ability to manage short and long-term priorities
