About the role
Our Strategy 2030 vision is to enable regional prosperity. In this senior role, you will be responsible for strong fiscal outcomes across treasury management, taxation, remuneration services, statutory reporting, financial business planning, budgeting, asset accounting and accounts payable functions.
A highly regarded professional with solid strategic experience, you’ll provide expert advice for financial sustainability across Barwon Water and Barwon Asset Solutions.
You will oversee the financial management of an annual operating budget of $275 million, annual capital expenditure of more than $80 million ($654 million over 5 years) and an infrastructure base of more than $3 billion.
About you
With your demonstrated leadership, you’ll be a Chartered or Certified Practising Accountant with significant accounting and financial services experience.
Reporting to the General Manager Organisational Performance, you’ll be the key financial strategist and trusted financial advisor.
You will be accountable for the systems and frameworks for monitoring and reporting organisational financial performance and analysis to the Board and senior leadership team.
You’re passionate to deliver real change and benefit to the organisation.
You’re someone who demonstrates strong community values, with an engaging nature that allows you to develop exceptional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. With excellent communication skills, you build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation to drive outcomes and improvements.
