About the facility

The Clinical Education and Training Unit leads an integrated approach to clinical education and training. We help Barwon Health achieve its education goals by delivering, supporting and promoting coordinated, quality education and training across health care roles in Barwon Health and the Barwon South Western region. We comprise of an interprofessional team of clinical educators and support staff across allied health, nursing, midwifery, and medical disciplines, working together to develop clinicians who model excellent practice, challenge poor practice, and inspire others.

About the role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nursing to join the Clinical Education and Training team in a Clinical Support Nurse role (temporary until 10/04/2022).

You will work as an active member of the Graduate Team directly supporting and guiding graduate nurses working within clinical units across Barwon Health services. You can expect to work at both the University Hospital Geelong and McKellar Centre sites. You will also be required to conduct clinical assessments, assist with graduate PD sessions and study days.

You will be supported by the Graduate Program Coordinators, other members of the Graduate Team and the wider Clinical Education and Training team to further develop your skills as a Clinical Support Nurse.
