Job Description: Bartell is looking for a dynamic, motivated and qualified individual to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the ideal candidate will support all aspects of the Accounting Department, including administrative/general office duties. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working in a fast paced and volume intensive environment with minimal supervision.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pays invoices in a timely manner by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
• Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
• Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Processing/posting of monthly credit card transactions.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• General office and Administration duties such as filing and document organization to support office processes.
• Other items as instructed by you supervisor

Education and Experience:

• Post Secondary Education – Preferred
• 3-5 years of Accounting/Admin Experience
• Good command of the English language (reading, writing, speaking)
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and with Word/Excel

Pay: $35,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
