Accounting & Reporting Manager

• The role will primarily manage local accounting activities in accordance with group-wide (international) / national accounting principles and standards. The role ensures the accuracy of the organization’s financial statements and compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, as well as reporting requirements.
• To work with plant leadership on the management of factory’s performance through excellent analytical support and clear management reporting. Additionally, this role is expected to partner and challenge budget holders during budget cycles and CAPEX plans.
• Assist in continuous improvement projects and collaborate with the Shared Service Centre in centralizing transactional P2P/O2C/R2R activities.
• Prepare the financial statements and ensure timely and accurate closing of books. Produce compliant internal and external submissions, including corporate tax returns, BAS/ PAYG/ GST filings and payroll tax returns. Decide on the accounting treatment of individual complex issues (judgment-based perspective).
• Govern and improve the quality, consistency, and integrity of financials and internal controls. Develop, deploy, and ensure compliance with accounting policies. Consult with Finance and IM/IT to address issues.
• Prepare and present the factory’s financial results (eg, material usage variances, direct/indirect costs, etc) to plant leadership. Provides analytical support to manage cost drivers and develop suitable remediation plans.
• Lead the factory budget preparation and CAPEX plans. Support and challenge budget holders on assumptions. Finalize plans in collaboration with the FP&A COE.
• Support implementation of initiatives such as the centralization of transaction activities (P2P/O2C/R2R) into the APAC Shared Services Centre and other continuous improvement projects.
• Internal stakeholders:
  • APAC Accounting COE
    • Support to develop, distribute and monitor accounting policies and procedures, continuously improve accounting and reporting processes to increase accuracy and efficiency
    • Deploy and govern local Finance policies and procedures, ensuring internal controls are effective and complied with. Flag/raise alert of non-compliance
  • Organization internal stakeholders
    • Distribute and communicate local Finance policies and procedures to internal stakeholders, ensuring internal controls are effective and complied with. Identify/Monitor non-compliance.
    • Communicate/cascade process changes to affected internal stakeholders to ensure change management is well transited
  • Factory Leadership and Stakeholders
    • Develop, analyze, and present financial results to the factory leadership lead. Provides analytical support to enable an understanding of key drivers.
    • Support & challenge factory budget holders on concluding assumptions, preparing operating budgets and CAPEX plans, review/tracking performance against budget, forecast, financial planning together with FP&A.
    • Takes guidance and work with functions to deliver internal governance/compliance, closing deadlines
  • Group Accounting COE & APAC Shared Services Centre
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, technologies, accounting standard changes and organization
• External stakeholders
  • Authorities (Tax / Audit) / External auditors
    • Ensuring audits completion, compliances and representation to the tax authorities
    • Support external auditors on conducting interim and yearly audits including dispute resolutions

• Professional degree / Bachelor’s / Master Degree in Finance and/or Accounting
• 7-10 years Finance experience
• Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries / FMCG / fast-paced environment
• Experience in FP&A is a strong advantage
• Strong and proficient in SAP
• Strong understanding of global chart of accounts, statutory / management (BU) reporting, accounting automation processes
• Working knowledge on Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report processes
• IFRS Accounting Treatment / local GAAP Accounting Treatment
