This role sits within the Housebuild Operations team that reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. It can be a high pressure environment with tight deadlines, but ultimately you are part of a high performing team that is well respected in the business.

Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.

While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.

You will support the Director/Head of Function in fulfilling their responsibilities, contributing to the overall success of the business through the provision of efficient and effective administrative/analyst support.

• Work closely with the Director to ensure that tasks such as, reporting, consolidating submissions from Regions/Divisions, etc. are done in a timely manner and to a high standard.
• Assist with weekly and monthly reporting, produce packs of information, identify key area’s for the business to focus on.
• Produce analysis on key performance indicators.
• Help with the salary and bonus reviews.
• Liaise with internal customers to ensure a smooth workflow between departments and with the Housebuild Operations team.
• Perform general office administration tasks as and when required to meet the needs of the department.
• Provide other appropriate ad hoc duties, and administrative support for other departments, as and when required.

• Very competent with Excel software and comfortable with using formula’s.
• Ideally has some background in accounting or is very competent with numbers – AAT or starting on a professional qualification.
• Professional and capable of delivering to tight deadlines.
• Able to communicate effectively with and be comfortable chasing up people who are significantly more senior than them.
• Willing to learn new skills and well organised.
