The role will primarily be that of a business analyst but will inevitably get involved with all areas of the finance function.* The requirement for more financial information and analysis increases year on year and this role will be working closely with senior members of the business to help them understand trends, costs and forecasts for their department.

Responsibilities: This is a new role within the finance team and your main purpose will be to provide business analysis activities across the team.

Working in collaboration with finance, your focus will be primarily to deliver high calibre system reports, analysis, support, help maintain live systems and ensure business needs are met.

Support core accounting data analysis, transaction feeds from Sage to Tableau

• Design New business and systems reports
• Offer advice on process improvements, best practice and technical solutions to meet business needs
• Working with the wider business to provide and improved meaningful MI
• Implementation of systems changes to new and existing Tableau reports
• Ensuring all tasks and procedures are carried out effectively and efficiently to agreed levels of services or specific requirements
• Supporting transitional programme to the new ERP system through backfilling as required
• Supporting the finance team in their day to day use of systems and reporting, including data feeds, bespoke reporting and automation.
• Contributing to the continuous development of a high performance culture in finance
• Maintenance of a suite of financial reports for all stakeholders.
• Analysis of financial costs for internal and client facing projects.
• Financial analyse design new business processes and review system changes by legislation
• Manager the integrity of the systems including Tableau and Sage
• Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
• Create recommendations to be presented to management and executives based on data available
• Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data.
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
• Any other reasonable task as advised from time-to-time.

Qualifications: Person Specification

• Strong interpersonal skills, including written, presentation and communication skills.
• Comfort dealing with senior business leaders and the ability to work independently.
• Influencing and negotiation skills.
• Adaptable and comfortable with change in the form of new people and systems due to rapid expansion.

Experience/Qualifications*

• Experience in Accounting and computer systems / business analysis
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent
• Experience working at a similar level in a financial or business analyst capacity
• Proficiency in a wide range of ERP systems including Sage, Microsoft Excel, Tableau

• Desirable – qualified Accountant, ACMA , ACCA or ACA
