Barnes Roffe Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join one of their clients operating in a niche sector of the fashion industry, based in the outskirts of Chigwell, Essex.

This is a part time role for 20-25 hours per week. Hours worked are completely flexible.

Salary £50,000-£60,000 (pro-rota)

What is the role?

The position would suit someone who is comfortable working independently and has experience in this type of role. Ideally someone who can take immediate responsibility for the finance function and provide sound financial support.

You will be responsible for all the finance function including its day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and carry out day-to-day bookkeeping duties.

• Month-end consolidated reporting including preparation of monthly management information to support financial decision-making at Director level.

• Financial modelling to encompass preparation of budgets and forecasts together with identification of KPIs.

• Design and implementation of financial reporting systems and internal controls.

• Overhead cost management.

• Collaboration with professional advisors to support accounting and taxation compliance.

• Administration of invoice financing facilities.

• Oversee all company accounts and investments.

• Prepare monthly and annual reports and identify and present results, trends, and financial forecasts.

• Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.

• Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.

• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

• Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.

• Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.

• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.

• Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.

Personal specification

• Accounting qualification preferable

• Proven experience in similar job role and industry.

• Strong analytical skills

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience of XERO / QUICKBOOKS

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proven can-do attitude with an ability to work calmly and accurately

• A self-motivated individual that can work to strict time deadlines

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
