Barnes Roffe Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Head of IT to join one of their clients based in Enfield.

What is the role?

The position will provide overall responsibility for the IT function and service delivery across the company.

As Head of IT, you will build, maintain and work to continually improve a reliable, scalable, robust and secure digital platform to support the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Review current IT Strategy and adjust as required

· Create and evaluate the IT Team and structure.

• Manage and coordinate urgent and complicated support issues
• Proactively propose, define and manage plans to regularly update and upgrade software and hardware across the estate
• Establish, maintain and report KPI metrics across service delivery, application/infrastructure stability, security and performance

· Maintain security across the business to include 3 manufacturing sites based in Enfield, Coventry and Bradford and multiple stores across the UK.

· Look at IT security and standardisation

· Oversee the IT audit and ensure we are compliant at all times.

• Purchase, configure, deploy and support staff laptops, phones and peripherals
• Management of various 3rd party vendors/suppliers and negotiation.
• Line management responsibility for IT support to provide desktop support

· Review current IT Strategy and adjust as required.

· Provide required IT data as required.

Personal specification

• Experience of managing a small IT Team
• Experience in retail and warehousing systems and processes
• Ability to communicate well with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to methodically work through onsite problems from point of arrival to satisfactory conclusion.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan, time manage, and multi-task.
• Flexibility, reliability, tolerance, and energy.
• Ability to motivate and get along with others.
• Ability to empathise with customer needs whilst at the same time being ever mindful of the commercial requirements of the company.
• A true passion for technology and providing exceptional customer service
• Strong team leadership and people management skills
