The successful applicant will have:

• A genuine interest and enthusiasm for IT support and management of IT systems.
• A background in IT including previous support experience.
• A background in networking and virtualisation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to identify, analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a server or network administration type role.

You should ideally have some experience in the following;

• VMware vSphere, vCenter and ESXi (or similar)
• SAN troubleshooting and support (Dell Equallogic, HP 3PAR)
• Cloud (AWS, VMware Cloud Foundation)
• Check Point or Cisco network firewall (or similar)
• Network support and administration (Cisco, HPe)

It will be beneficial if you have:

• Windows desktop and server operating systems.
• Encryption/Cryptography/HSMs
• PRINCE 2
• MCSA / MCSE certification
• CCNA / CCNP certification
• VCA / VCP certification
• ITIL Foundation certification / experience in an ITIL environment
