As a Barclays Tester you will assist in test automation, contribute towards driving test automation for all consumer lending projects in Digital, along with enhancing automation test framework. You will be a part of implementation of the test automation strategy and frameworks needed to test all the dimensions of a complex, high-throughput distributed system including functional correctness, performance, scale, and security.

What will you be doing?
• Providing governance and control over the Barclays test automation frameworks

  • Automating tests using Cucumber/Selenium/SeeTest
  • Automating the application deployments, functional test scripts and regression test scripts
  • Participating in daily scrum stand-up meetings, explaining progress and issues encountered
  • Contributing to the design & development of the overall test automation strategy and vision, including the tools and technologies needed to assist the strategy
  • Working with development and Quality Assurance teams to establish and reinforce automation development processes
What we’re looking for:
• Solid experience in Software Testing work stream (functional and automation)

  • Proficient in functional testing and defect management
  • Strong Knowledge on test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber using Java
  • Solid knowledge of Junit, TDD
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of API automation

  • Experience of using test management tools (e.g. JIRA) to manage testing activity and to provide testing metrics
  • SQL knowledge
  • Exposure to configuration and change management
