As a Barclays Tester, you will be working within the API Delivery for projects that require either new APIs or changes to existing APIs. Under minimal supervision you will help plan & execute test projects, and enhancements/fixes on applications, managing any risks and dependencies. You will also be accountable for the production of high quality software through closely working and communicating with other testers, developers, and team members to build automated technical solutions that meet customer needs.

What will you be doing?
• Delivering End-to-End QA automation for Barclays Digital Investing Trading Platforms
• Delivering End-to-End QA automation for Barclays Digital Investing Trading Platforms
- Creating and maintaining test ware – estimates, scenarios, cases and data for automation tests
- Creating test scripts (manual and automated) and test data based on the test scope
- Assisting in the generation and running of VPT test scripts
- Executing manual and automation tests using both automation and manual tools as applicable aligning to overall test strategy defined
- Producing regular test metrics and test reports
- Ensuring compliance to organisation wide process and operations guidelines
- Taking on authorship of test completion reports to required governance standards
What we’re looking for:
• Extensive knowledge of APIs (REST and Soap) and familiar with API testing concepts

- Experience with JIRA or similar test management tools
- Exposure to configuration and change
- Awareness of banking applications
Skills that will help you in the role
• Experience of a programming language e.g. Java

- Certification: ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Certificate
- Experience in software testing
- Knowledge of automation with at least one automation frame work

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
