As a Barclays Software Development Engineer, you will be joining Investment Banking Reference Data team within Markets Post Trade Business area. You will be instrumental in implementing the development and maintenance of systems for managing Counterparty, Client, Account & Book Reference Data within Barclays as well as the management of the master data contained within these services. Reference Data services / applications provide “Golden Source” data to over 400 other systems across Barclays Group.

What will you be doing?
• Converting high-level test requirements into reliable, repeatable, and maintainable automation scripts
• Converting high-level test requirements into reliable, repeatable, and maintainable automation scripts
- Analysing Automation Results, Defect reporting and reporting of Results for Sprint and Releases
- Understanding the System Architecture and analysing the Testing requirement
- Identifying and implementing improvements to existing procedures and team processes to enhance tool and testing efficiency
- Adhering to the project testing schedules and flag immediately if there is a risk of slippage
- Detailing hands on testing of new functionalities & regression of existing functionalities
- Working closely with developers, business stakeholders and act as an integral part of the software development team using an iterative development process
- Working closely with team members in London, New York and Prague – participating in and contributing to Functional and Technical discussions
What we’re looking for:
• Good knowledge of BDD using Specflow test automation framework and for UI automation Selenium
• Good knowledge of BDD using Specflow test automation framework and for UI automation Selenium
- Working knowledge of .Net and C# and understanding of Object Oriented Programming along with exposure to design patterns
- Understanding of web application architecture XML, WebServices (SOAP), MQ with solid SQL Skills (primarily writing SQL queries)
- Knowledge of Messaging technology like Websphere MQ, Version Management Tools like git
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Prior knowledge of Client and Counterparty Reference Data and Assassin
• Prior knowledge of Client and Counterparty Reference Data and Assassin
- Development experience in the IT industry
- Experience in Executing Web Services & GUI Based Testing
- Basic knowledge of AutoSys, Feed processing
