C# Developer
Glasgow
As a Barclays C# Developer, you’ll join a team responsible for developing and maintaining pre-trade functionality across the Securitized Products asset class. You will be focusing on the firm’s real-time pricing and automated quoting system for To-Be-Announced Mortgage Backed Securities. The main technologies currently in use are Core C#, WPF (MVVM) WCF, Oracle (both database design & implementation). You’ll contribute to all areas of system development (client, server and database)

What will you be doing?
• Extending the WPF pricing application with new features, performance improvements and bug fixes
• Extending the WPF pricing application with new features, performance improvements and bug fixes
- Developing new server side Windows Services/WCF services in C#
- Implementing new reports using Tableau or equivalent data visualisation tools
- Creating Python scripts and ETL processes for data analysis
- Designing relational database schema and implementing with Oracle
- Overseeing all aspects of system releases (documenting tests, writing deployment scripts etc.)
- Working with and understanding third party APIs and Participating in the team’s support Rota
- Overseeing hardware/software migrations to newer platforms
What we’re looking for:
• University degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent programming experience

- Object oriented design & coding skills with significant implementation experience in C# (Windows)
- Disciplined developer and be prepared to follow team coding standards and practices (JIRA, Team City, GIT)
- Experience developing desktop UI using Windows Presentation Foundation
Skills that will help you in the role:

- Must be able to work independently and pick up new technologies and systems rapidly
- Experience with Java or Angular, Node.js and other web technologies
- Understanding of/experience working with Fixed Income securities would be an advantage, especially Securitized Products
