Finance Business Partner

As a Barclays Finance Business Partner you will have an important role in supporting Barclays’ businesses by providing high-quality reporting and accounting services whilst also supporting business planning and strategy. This is a new role created in our Glasgow strategic location within our growing Finance team.

What will you be doing?
• Assisting the Senior Finance Business Partner by managing the end to end financials across a transaction cycle /function

- Providing finance business partnering to various areas of the business as required
- Delivering end-to-end Finance reporting that enables management to proactively shape strategy
- Providing full set of forward looking financial projections (MTP), outlook, transfers, scenario analytics & Strategic Investment portfolio affordability shape
- Offering strategic financial support to accountable executives including; quarterly & monthly business reviews, vendor support
- Assisting capacity creation, cost allocation understanding and risks & opportunities management
- Ensuring high quality, consistent and standardized offering with complete ownership of the “numbers”
- Supporting Service Management Reviews and engaging/coaching service owners to better understand and influence cost allocation drivers
What we’re looking for:
• Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent relevant experience (ACA/CIMA/CFA)
• Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent relevant experience (ACA/CIMA/CFA)
- Significant experience in financial services; experience on an international scale preferred
- Experience in operating in a multi-geographic, matrix organisation a plus, with proven ability to balance commercial, client, and regulatory needs across businesses and geographies
- Evidence of career progression in prior roles; proven ability to maintain energy and resilience within an organisation throughout a period of change and/or against significant challenges

- Very good analytical skills, good understanding of the end-to-end processes
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility, identifying the key tasks that need to be completed and proactively working within the team
