Controls Assurance Sarbanes Oxley (Sox)

As a Barclays Control Assurance Sarbanes Oxley (Sox), your role is to support the Barclays annual Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) process, specifically related to Barclays Group in areas such as central cost re-charges, consolidation and reporting, and entity level controls. This includes the review and assessment of process documentation, performing design effectiveness assessments, operating effectiveness testing, and assessment of control issues. Driving improvements across the SOx front to back process and wider control environment across the Bank.

What will you be doing?
• You will be Conducting SOx Design Effectiveness Assessments (DEA)
• You will be Conducting SOx Design Effectiveness Assessments (DEA)
- Conducting SOx Operating Effectiveness Testing (OET) which includes preparing a detailed request list, selecting appropriate samples for testing
- Identifying and communicating any DEA and OET deficiencies
- Assessing the impact of control weaknesses on financial reporting and raise issues
- Reviewing and monitoring progress of remediation plans for SOx related issues
- Working on special projects requiring attention for improving control environment
What we’re looking for:
• You have experience in Finance and/or Auditing, preferably in Financial Services
• You have experience in Finance and/or Auditing, preferably in Financial Services
- Being xperienced in identifying, documenting and testing controls for Sarbanes Oxley Regulatory Reporting purposes
- Broad understanding of SOx requirements and the COSO framework and its application to internal controls over financial reporting
- Proven ability to understand, implement and drive improvements to a risk & control framework
