The Role
Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager, the Accountant is responsible for:
Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Monthly preparation of financial reports, variance analysis and communication of the same to key stakeholders
Day to day recording of accounting transactions and provision of financial information as requested
Ad hoc month end tasks – e.g., filing returns, short-term project accounting
About you
Along with your expertise and in-depth knowledge of accounting processes, you will have a supportive and strong customer service ethos and maintain high quality service standards for our internal/external stakeholders and be compliant.
The candidate will ideally bring the following:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accountant, Assistant Accountant, or similar role.
Relevant tertiary qualifications for example a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration or similar.
CPA/CA in progress is highly desirable but not essential.
Good understanding of accounting concepts, rules, and journal entries.
Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
High level of competence, confidence, energy, and determination.
Attention to detail and good analytical skills.
Strong communication skills and commitment to delivery focus.
Satisfactory police check or willingness to obtain.
Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain before commencement.
