BAP Logistics Hiring for East Coast Logistics Manager at Newark, NJ Full Time

Duties:

– Working East Coast time zone
– Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and negotiate favorable terms
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing
– Monitor and optimize logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
– Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking shipments, and other logistics data
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and resolve any issues or delays.
– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements related to logistics operations
– Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics management

Skills:

– Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and procedures
– Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
– Strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
– Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
– Proficient in using logistics software systems for tracking shipments, inventory management, etc.
– Mechanical knowledge to understand technical aspects of transportation equipment (e.g., trucks, containers)
– Experience in contract negotiation and management
– Familiarity with e-commerce logistics processes is a plus
– Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
