Banty software developers are creating a virtual meetings software, designed to fit the needs of healthcare and business enterprises. We are looking for a tech lead with strong full stack development skills. The Tech Lead will have overall responsibility for the technical strategy, development and implementation of Banty’s software solutions with a focus on external customers. They will collaborate with our outsourced development team, Product Manager and Marketing Officer.

You will be working closely with the product manager and marketing officer, to ensure the alignment of technical, business, and product priorities. With your technical expertise, you will manage technical project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and ensure the top quality of the code. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. This role will allow you to display leadership qualities and take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push virtual meetings technology forward.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.

7 – 8 years of experience with software development in React, NodeJS, No-SQL databases

7-8 years experience in large scale software systems

Expertise in web technologies

Experience in both relational and non-relational databases

Experience in software architecture and design

Experience working in, and leading, a remote agile team

Experience in working with cloud environments like AWS

Ability to analyze large features and implement practical/scalable solutions

Exposure to Unit testing and thorough adherence to maintaining code quality

Experience in designing micro services architecture

7 – 8 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products,

7 – 8 year of experience with software design and architecture.

5 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

Experience in WebRTC is an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the quality of the code and identify opportunities for improvement

• Determining technical requirements and developing work schedules for the team

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions

• Delegate tasks to development team members and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals

• Liaise with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard

• Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible

• Analyze existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments

• Update work schedules and perform troubleshooting as required

• Motivate staff and create a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns

• Be transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes

• Report to the Product team on the progress and challenges that the developers are facing

• Inform the Product team about technical consequences of product decisions

• Lead implementation and design, communicate regularly with stakeholders, and shape the agenda for your team

• Work closely with the software teams that are the consumers of our input data to ensure their requirements are being met
