The Finance & Accounting Division is made up of a number of core finance teams both at business unit and Group level. We perform a key management and control function in ensuring all Group financial and management reporting processes are appropriately governed. The Finance Division has overall responsibility for driving the Group budgeting and forecasting process, developing Group-focused financial insight and analysis and delivering the Group’s statutory, regulatory and external reporting. We do this through collaborative business partnering in each of the Divisions and with centralised Finance shared / specialist services.
The role holder will work within the Office of the BOIUK Chief Financial Officer, which has the overall responsibility for driving the business’s forecasting process, developing focused financial insight and analysis and delivering all statutory, regulatory and external financial reporting thereby providing effective financial support to the UK management team.
This is a P2 role in the UK Regulatory Reporting team, which provides assurance to the UK CFO on the integrity of financial regulatory reporting. The role holder liaises with Group Finance and other UK teams to provide a robust regulatory governance process around financial regulatory returns. The role holder also supports the daily NI Note Issue reporting and compliance process.
Provide a robust review and challenge process over certain of the outsourced regulatory reporting deliverables for the UK, thereby ensuring accurate, timely and complete delivery of reporting to the UK Regulatory bodies (PRA, FCA and BOE);
Compliance with NI Note issue rules for accurate and timely daily reporting;
Provision of daily balance sheet MI to support liquidity and capital management;
Support ad-hoc projects and requests in support of team goals and the UK CFO strategic priorities.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across Group Finance, UK Treasury and UK Risk to deliver the regulatory reporting requirements for the UK. The role holder will gain an overall understanding of the UK business and develop knowledge of the UK regulatory reporting regime set by BOE, PRA and FCA.

Please note you must live in the jurisdiction for the business to which you are contracted. This job can be done anywhere in the UK with the primary office location as Belfast to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
Qualified Accountant with relevant financial experience.
Strong organisational skills with the ability manage a range of competing priorities and tight delivery timelines;
Ability to work both independently on own initiative and within a collaborative team environment;
Flexible team member; sharing knowledge and proactively supporting continuous improvement to deliver process efficiencies, while also ensuring the delivery of changes arising;
Strong interpretative and analytical skills with the ability to constructively challenge both outputs and processes;
Demonstrated experience with managing relationships with external auditors and regulators
Ability to build strong relationships both within the immediate team and wider Finance and UK teams.
Working knowledge of the SAP Financial reporting system;
Demonstrate accountability and ownership;
Effective drive and enthusiasm.
