Job Description
Market Risk technology is looking for an experienced software developer to join an established Agile team located in Toronto. The team build and maintains time series application which is part of the Market Risk Suite. Key responsibilities include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional and non-function requirements. The successful candidate will process strong proficiently in development and testing practices common to the industry and have extensive experience of using design patterns.
Responsibilities
Understand and evolve application within the context of broader context of market risk suite.
Contribute to feature and story refinement and requirements.
Code solutions and unit tests to deliver story requirements per defined acceptance criteria.
Assist team with resolving technical complexities and Issues
Qualifications
Expert level of understanding C# & .Net Framework.
Development of APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.).
Familiarity with modern web development frameworks (React, NodeJS, ASP.NET).
Good understanding of design patterns and best practices.
Experience with REST API design.
Good understanding SQL (large relational databases).
Practical experience with Python.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of GIT, Jenkins and continuous build tools
Familiarity with UNIX shell scripts
