We are looking for suitably experienced and competent clerical officers to join our Research Accounting team to help administer a multi-million pound portfolio of research grants and contracts and to administer the electronic project timesheet system. Prior experience of working with grant funding and electronic timesheet systems would be particularly valued but experience of working within a finance related function is essential, together with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and financial ledger systems. Work will involve providing day to day administrative support to the Research Accounting team, including: administrative support in the preparation and audit of grant claims and in the financial reporting of projects; entering financial information into the financial ledger system; maintaining systems to manage the financial records; and, taking a lead on the administration of the project timesheet system.
The ability to communicate effectively in Welsh is a desirable requirement of this role.
The person appointed will possess a minimum of 5 GCSEs, NVQ level II (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject or possess equivalent experience.
The successful candidates will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the posts are available until December 2023 (part-time) and March 2024 (full-time). We have openings for one full time and one part time (21.75 hours per week) officer or two part time officers (29 hours per week), this is open to consideration (please indicate when applying if you’d like to be considered for a full-time or part-time post).
