The Sous Chef assists the Chef de Cuisine in supervising food production for a specific Restaurant / Outlet. He/She assumes leadership of back-of-house in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine. Sous Chefs assist in menu planning, training, food quality, guest experience, and employee supervision.
