Baltic Apprenticeships are working in partnership with Skiddle to recruit for a Software Development Technician Apprentice.
Established in 2001, Skiddle are the leading Ticket Sales, Clubs Listings, Events and What’s On website in all of the UK.

Starting out as a ‘what’s on guide’ Skiddle began selling tickets in 2006 and is now one of the UK’s most loved ticketing services selling tickets for tens of thousands of events throughout the UK – from independent club nights through to 60,000 capacity festivals.

Skiddle currently sells tickets for the likes of The Warehouse Project, Creamfields, Digbeth Dining Club and Live Nation, and hundreds of independent venues and promoters across the country – In 2018, after a series of successful raves, Skiddle launched Highest Point Festival at Lancaster’s Williamson Park.

This is a tremendous opportunity for an apprentice to work in one of the most exciting industries in the modern job climate.
You’ll be working as an important part of their Software Development team – In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Software Development Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Roles & Responsibilities (Will include but not limited to):

• Writing simple code for software components
• Applying appropriate secure development principles to specific software components
• Applying approaches for configuration management and version control to manage code during build and release
• Making a connection between codes
• Testing if the deliverables for the components have been met
• Supporting the developer team at the build and also test stages of the software development cycle
• Following organisational good coding practices
• Solving logical problems
• Articulating the roles and functions of software components to the stakeholders
• Developing user interfaces as appropriate to our development standards
• Front end coding – HTML, CSS (SCSS, Styled Components), JavaScript
• Using Bootstrap for user interfaces.

• English and Maths at GCSE Grade C or above
• Strong attention to detail
• Happy to work both from the office and remotely, from home

Salary, Hours & Benefits

• £10,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Health insurance provided by Vitality

Baltic Apprenticeships Apprenticeship Programme will provide you with the platform to develop your Software Development career. There are some excellent progression opportunities available after completing the programme, including the potential to move onto a Level 4 qualification. You will be required to complete the Level 3 Apprenticeship to secure a full-time role.
