Baltic Apprenticeships Hiring for Software Development Apprentice Job at Stoke-on-Trent, England Full Time

Your main tasks will include the creation of web applications and learning to write clean, maintainable, and test code. You will work closely with Nick who will be your main mentor throughout the apprenticeship, he has previous experience of mentoring Apprentices so is the perfect person to successfully guide you through your programme.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Software Development Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Creation of web applications
• Delivering a brand-new user interface and new product features
• Work in an agile environment
• Write and maintain Unit and Feature tests
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and tested code with an attention to detail

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:

• Grade C/4 or equivalent is required in both Maths and English
• Open and positive attitude towards work, learning, and recreation
• Confidence in communication within a team environment
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Ability to demonstrate commitment i.e., long-standing hobby
• Any previous experience of Software from college or spare time

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £15,000 starting salary
• Monday to Friday, 9AM – 5PM
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Your Training with Baltic:
With our unique apprenticeship programme, you’ll build an impressive range of coding skills and learn to thrive as a junior developer. On completion, 95% of our learners remain in full-time employment or progress onto our Level 4 Software Developer qualification.
